Learn how to sew cute designs into fabric in this workshop with Nekki!
In this step-by-step guided session, Nekki will teach you how to embroider a cat design into the side of a tote bag using a variety of different techniques and coloured thread. She'll show you how to manipulate thread to achieve beautiful textures and designs that you can also use to embellish your own pieces at home.
What’s included:
- 3 hour fully guided session with a small break
- One tote bag per person
- All sewing supplies
- Embroidery hoop
- Thread
- Needles and scissors
- Backing hoop
- Say Cheese tasting platter
Nekki is a creative from Melbourne who specialises in embroidery and calligraphy. She always had a strong interest in fashion and textiles, which led her love for embroidery! She especially loves making pieces that are intricate and eye-catching. Nekki is currently taking commissions and is planning to sell wearable art that's cute and interactive. Nekki has had her works previously exhibited with Liminal Gallery, Fortyfive Downstairs, Platform Presents and Hoiszn.
Attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult as sharp tools are involved in this workshop.
