Cat Life Drawing Session with Elle

Play with cats while learning how to draw them in our first life drawing session!

Meet Sirius (Tuxedo) and Sebastian (British Shorthair), your models for this session that will be guided by Elle. We can't guarantee they'll stay still, but this is a life drawing session after all and we can't always guarantee life will work out as planned, right? 

Our session will be guided by Elle who's spent many many hours drawing from life. She'll teach you what to look out for when drawing through observation, and how you can improvise if your subject moves from their position. If anyone knows how to draw a moving subject, it'd be her. 

About our models:

• Sirius: A tuxedo domestic short hair, 8 years old and very friendly. He loves head scratches, food and sleeping. He dribbles when he's happy so apologies in advance if your hand gets a little slobbery. He can get jealous if he sees you spending too much time with Sebastian but there will be plenty of you around so we might not have to worry about that.
  
• Sebastian: A blueberry British Shorthair, 11 months old at the time of the workshop and shy at first but then doesn't hold back when he's comfortable. He loves to bully Sirius (now that he's gotten a little bigger), also loves food, but most of all, he loves to play. He, too, gets jealous if too much attention goes to Sirius, but he's easily distracted so we'll have plenty of toys for you to interact with him.

What's included: 

• 2.5 hour guided session with a small break
• 2 cats to play with and draw
• Sketching paper and pencils - you're welcome to bring anything of your own! (Please no cat treats)
• Say Cheese tasting platter

Elle is a Melbourne-based artist who practices various visual mediums including drawing, painting, print making and culinary art. She is a free spirited artist, an avid solo traveller and lives for experiences and exploring what the world has to offer. 

Attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult as sharp tools are involved in this workshop.

Please do not attend if you are allergic to cats! We can't guarantee Sebastian won't come up to get attention, and Sirius loves people who ignore him...
